Here's what you would call Testimony Part 2. Call Me, Call You No matter how much I do It was and is all about You. The year was 1997, SJSU living not heaven. Little did I know what was going to happen. School life came quick almost caught me nappin. This was suppose to be a new path on life, Living away, educating, bachelor style - no wife. What a lie it was, Like only getting 12 on a baker's doz. Trying to find my place, Hanging out with brothers of every race, Parties to pubs, to study groups and business clubs, Just good things to past the time, Something to add to my resume and this rhyme, I searched and searched around the campus, No good answers- just old music like Johnny Mathis. I realize that it was my fate- God on the orchestrate Not a bait, but true love from above on the wait, Patient with a sinner like me, I asked for forgiveness for being a selfish little bee(p)! Beep, that is, don't swear up in here, Unless you want everyone to stare. It's not like driving a car yo, God's in control now, come'on bro. See the need, you're here for a reason, Change your ways don't wait til' next season, Jesus Christ is the only way, You can't buy his forgiveness not even on eBay. I'm sure you don't think you're that bad off, You're thinking, come'on I'm good person, right Joff? My name is Jeff, but I get the point, It took me awhile to bend my weakest joint. On my knees I said "I'm sorry God for all the wrong I'd done" "With you I know the war is won" "I want to follow you" A lot of cries and soundin' boohoo. Nothing is more powerful than His Word, He talks about how he takes care of the bird, Many birds, but they don't have to worry, Jesus Christ is the judge and jury. Hope you're ready to know who Christ is deeper, Trust me, it'll be more intriguing than a lonely night of minesweeper. |
